Revif is an online platform specialized in exchanging children’s clothing. Our main objective is to promote the reuse of children’s clothing, reduce overconsumption, and support families by offering an economical and sustainable alternative.
Revif operates by allowing parents to sign up on our platform, add children’s clothing in good condition that they wish to exchange, and our team evaluates these items. Once accepted, the clothing is displayed for exchanges among members.
We accept a variety of items for children, including clothing and shoes, intended for children aged 0 to 12 years. Here’s what you can exchange on Revif:
- Clothing: All children’s clothing, such as tops, pants, dresses, coats, etc., in excellent condition and suitable for children aged 0 to 12 years.
- Shoes: Children’s shoes of all sizes and styles, in good condition and ready to be worn by other children.
Ensure that the items you propose meet our quality and acceptance criteria, such as the absence of stains, tears, or excessive signs of wear. Our goal is to facilitate the exchange of children’s clothing and shoes in a sustainable and economical manner for our members.
When you list an item on Revif, you have the option to offer several exchange options for interested members. Here’s how it works:
- On the item’s page you are listing, you can establish the available exchange options. This may include in-person exchange, drop-off at a collection point, or delivery.
- If an interested member wants to exchange with you, they will send you an exchange request by choosing one of the options you have offered.
- You will receive the exchange request and can then confirm the details of the exchange with the other member. For example, if you offered in-person exchange, you agree on a meeting place. If you offered delivery, you discuss shipping arrangements.
- Once the exchange details are confirmed by both parties, you can proceed with the exchange confidently. Ensure good communication with the other member to ensure a smooth and satisfactory exchange for both parties.
By offering multiple exchange options, you allow interested members to choose the one that suits them best, making transactions on the Revif platform easier.
At the end of a successful exchange transaction on Revif, both members must confirm the exchange. This step is crucial for the Revif point system. Here’s how it works:
- The member who receives the item confirms receipt, which triggers the deduction of 1 Revif point from their account.
- At the same time, the member who offered the item confirms the handover, which results in the allocation of 1 Revif point to their account.
This point exchange system encourages balanced participation and continuity of exchanges. Revif points can be used for other exchanges on the platform, where 1 point equals 1 garment. It’s a way to value active member participation while promoting responsible reuse of children’s clothing.
Rating members after a transaction is an important element of the Revif community. Here’s how it works:
- After receiving an item and confirming receipt, you will have the opportunity to rate the member who offered the item.
- Rating is done by assigning a score and leaving a comment on the exchange experience.
- This rating helps recognize members who positively contribute to the Revif community by offering quality items and being reliable.
- Ratings also help create a trusted environment within the community, allowing other members to see the exchange history of a given member.
- Members can thus be distinguished based on their contributions, enhancing trust and transparency on the platform.
We encourage all members to use this rating feature honestly and constructively to support a positive experience for everyone on Revif.
Membership at Revif is $25 per year with automatic renewal. We also offer 2 free Revif points when you sign up, allowing you to start exchanging immediately.
Membership fees contribute to supporting the operation and maintenance of the Revif platform, as well as financing the costs associated with security, member verification, and transaction management.
The $25 annual membership fee is non-refundable. However, if you have specific concerns or questions about your membership, we encourage you to contact us via our customer service to discuss your situation.
You can earn Revif points by adding items on Revif and completing successful exchanges. Each exchanged item equals one Revif point.
At Revif, we take measures to ensure the security of exchanges, but we cannot guarantee 100% honesty of members. Here’s how we approach this issue:
- We carefully verify items based on the information provided by the item lister to ensure they match the description.
- However, due to the nature of exchanges, it is impossible to guarantee 100% compliance of items or the honesty of members.
- We handle situations on a case-by-case basis and encourage members to contact us in case of any issues or concerns. We are here to help you resolve any potential complications.
- We advise members to maintain open communication, ask questions about items, and request additional photos if necessary before completing an exchange.
- Although we implement security measures, each member is responsible for their own participation on the platform and should take appropriate precautions during exchanges. We are here to help make your exchanges on Revif as safe and smooth as possible. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
At Revif, we are committed to promoting eco-responsible values and practices that contribute to a more sustainable future for our planet. Here’s how we prioritize eco-responsibility:
Reuse and Circular Economy: We believe in the power of reuse to reduce waste and conserve resources. By facilitating the exchange of children’s clothing, we promote a circular economy where items are used for longer periods, reducing the need for new production and minimizing environmental impact.
Reduction of Textile Waste: Textile waste is a significant environmental issue, and we aim to address it by giving children’s clothing a second life. By extending the lifespan of clothing through exchanges, we help divert items from landfills and reduce the overall textile waste generated.
Promotion of Sustainable Consumption: We advocate for responsible consumption practices by encouraging our members to prioritize quality over quantity. By choosing pre-loved items through Revif, families can make more sustainable choices and reduce their carbon footprint.
Environmental Awareness: We strive to raise awareness about environmental issues and the importance of sustainable living. Through educational content and community engagement, we empower our members to make informed decisions and take action for a healthier planet.
Partnerships and Collaboration: We collaborate with local businesses, organizations, and initiatives that share our eco-responsible values. By working together, we amplify our impact and foster a community committed to environmental stewardship.
Continuous Improvement: We are dedicated to continuously improving our practices to minimize our environmental footprint. Whether it’s optimizing our operations, reducing packaging waste, or exploring new sustainability initiatives, we are committed to making a positive difference.
By embracing these eco-responsible values, we aim to create a platform that not only benefits families economically but also contributes to a more sustainable and environmentally conscious future for generations to come. Join us in our mission to make a difference, one exchange at a time.
